Nightblade Healer Build (2024)

< Back

Nightblade healer builds are rarely seen, and yet they make some of the most potent healers in the game. Their high critical chance and critical healing modifiers cause their healing power to reach incredibly strong levels, making them valuable in particularly intense fights, but their group support in terms of buffs and debuffs are a little lacking.

Gear Sets

Nightblade Healer Build (9)

Pillager's Profit: A great set from Dreadsail Reef which will boost the ultimate regeneration of your team massively, allowing them to get really excellent uptime on their ultimates throughout a fight.

Stone-Talker's Oath: Combines perfectly with our other sets. This set allows you to provide a ton of resources back to your entire group, which in any content is great, but in trials particularly adds up to a lot.

Symphony of Blades: This is another favourite of healers across all classes, granting a ton of resources to your group with a per-target cooldown, making it incredibly efficient. You can get this from Depths of Malatar.

Perfected Grand Rejuvenation: Another great tool for group sustain, this weapon will allow you to provide both Magicka and Stamina to any ally caught within the area of effect, boosting their performance a lot.

Skills

Nightblade Healer Build (10)

Radiating Regeneration:A great source of passive healing that allows you to catch allies that are not in your immediate eyeline.

Combat Prayer:A powerful area burst heal that is used to apply Minor Resolve and Minor Berserk to any allie in the area.

Illustrious Healing:Combined with the staff you use, this becomes a powerful healing ability that also restores resources back to allies in the area.

Energy Orb:A great way to return resources to allies. Aim this at the tank and any allies who activate the synergy will gain resources back immediately.

Healthy Offering:One of the most powerful single target heals in the game that will also grant you Minor Mending, further boosting your healing done.

Aggressive Horn:The ultimate of choice for most healers. This will boost the DPS of your group by a massive amount for a lengthy duration.

Siphoning Attacks:A unique ability that will reward you with health and resources any time you deal damage. This effect is passively provided to both bars. You can also activate the skill to trade health for resources.

Elemental Blockade:A very useful tool that provides allies with a projectile shield while inflicting enemies with Chilled, Brittle, snares and immobilizations.

Refreshing Path:Provides healing in a wide area along with Minor Intellect, Minor Endurance and Major Expedition to all of your allies.

Elemental Susceptibility:Use this to reduce the resistances of the enemy and periodically apply the Chilled, Concussed and Burning status effects.

Sanguine Altar:A nice passive bonus to healing that allies can activate if they are in trouble for a burst of health.

Reviving Barrier: Use this if your group is in trouble or if you all need to power through some intense mechanics. It provides a very large barrier to your whole group.

Champion Points

Nightblade Healer Build (12)

Soothing Tide:This perk grants a substantial power boost to your area healing abilities, allowing you to strategically place healing area spells where they are needed most.

Swift Renewal:Healing over time abilities are some of the most common you will use on a healer, and this will boost their healing power substantially.

Hope Infusion:The ability to grant Minor Heroism to allies is a very useful boon to you and your group. Every time you heal an ally below 50% health, you will grant them Minor Heroism forone second per 300 Magicka Recovery that you have.

Enlivening Overflow:Similar to Hope Infusion, you can grant resource recovery to your allies based on how high your Max Magicka is, up to 150.

Nightblade Healer Build (13)

Boundless Vitality: Every bit of health makes a difference, especially in some of the tougher content that The Elder Scrolls Online has to offer. This will help you bump yours up a little more, increasing your survivability.

Fortified: Similar to Boundless Vitality, one can never have enough resistances, and this will add a little extra to boost your survivability so that you can focus more on the task at hand.

Rejuvenation: Recoveries are important for every role. For healers, it is essential for keeping your group alive, for tanks, it is the source of most of your buffs and debuffs, for DPS, you can't deal damage with no fuel, and in PvP, no resources means death.

Celerity: Extra movement speed is an amazing boost in all content. In PvE, it helps massively with avoiding nasty mechanics, and in PvP, it allows you to run circles around your opponents.

Mundus Stone

Nightblade Healer Build (14)

The best Mundus Stone to use on this build is the Thief. Good healers are adepts at stacking up plenty of healing over time so they can focus on individual targets or on buffing instead, and critically healing boosts healing power massively. However, if you have enough critical chance, use the Mage for more max Magicka, or Atronach if you need more recovery.

Food Buff

Nightblade Healer Build (15)

The Ghastly Eye Bowls food buff is typically the best option for any PvE Magicka character. It offers the best combination of Max Magicka and Magicka Recovery. If you are in content that requires higher health, you can use the Withmother's Potent Brew or Clockwork Citrus Filet if you prefer.

Race

Nightblade Healer Build (16)

The best race to use for this build is a Breton. This is the best race in ESO for Magicka sustain, but the Argonian is also a good option.

Potion

Nightblade Healer Build (17)

Spell power potions will offer this build access to the valuable Major Sorcery and Major Prophecy buffs, both of which will boost your healing power by a lot. You also get the much needed Magicka return, and a long boost to your Max Magicka.

Mortality

Nightblade Healer Build (18)

The benefits of being a Vampire or Werewolf are not worth the drawbacks on this build. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you remain a Mortal with this build to ensure you don't run into issues.

Notes

Due to their unique class passives, Nightblades can provide some of the most potent healing in the game. That allows them to heal allies through the toughest content around, which often makes up for their distinctive lack of group buffs.

Nightblade healers shine particularly well in challenging dungeon situations, whereas they can get overlooked in favour of Templars, Wardens and Necromancers in trials due to the strong buffs and debuffs that these competitors provide. In dungeons, the sheer healing power of Nightblades affords them the niche of helping the group survive through particularly challenging content.
